Business Development Executive

Can you build relationships, be self motivated and sell the intangible? We are an ever growing company and require a New Business Development Executive who can exceed achievable targets. The individual who joins our small friendly team will be a reliable, excellently presented and an articulate self-starter. You will be as comfortable with technology as you are talking face to face with the Marketing Director of a household brand blue chip. The right person will progress within 3 years to Sales Manager.

Job Description
The Right Person Will:

  • Be driven to exceed targets
  • Have a proven track record of at least 2 years selling B to B in a sophisticated sales environment.
  • Have excellent presentation and communications skills
  • Be able to find decision makers and dodge gate keepers
  • Be confident and natural in conversation
  • Be well educated with strong written and spoken Arabic and English skills.
  • Be able to work independently with self motivation for extended periods
  • Be happy working in a small team
  • Accompany Company Directors to pitches
  • Produce written proposals to a Directors specification – Help, support and on-the-job training will be given on this as required
  • Progress to Sales Manager within 3 years with responsibility for devising sales and marketing strategy with the Company Directors and ensuring effective execution.

The following would beneficial:

  • Experience of selling a similar corporate communications consultancy or media production service.

Time will be split between:

  • On phone and email in the office dodging the gate keeper, bagging appointments and creating new opportunities to pitch with key decision makers. Key decision makers will include Marketing Directors, Internal Communications Manager, PR Officers and Communications Consultants.
  • Writing from Directors specification proposals that make the client want to buy and subsequently following them up without ‘pestering’ the client.
  • Meeting people face to face: Networking, supporting pitches and just plain old talking to clients.

Targets
Video and new media is challenging to sell but far from impossible.

The average project is BD3k to BD15K so hitting the sales targets set with you will not be a problem for the right candidate. Performance will be reviewed twice monthly and there will be an expectation to deliver.

You will receive:

  • BD500 basic salary with 3% commission on gross for sales above targets
  • One calendar month holiday per annum
  • A slap on the back when you achieve (in addition to the fat commission!)
