About Eldrin
Eldrin likes to be called Bitoy, after the famous compatriot who has elevated Filipino comedy to a higher level. Regardless of what you yell at him, OUR Bitoy is a very creative and industrious cameraman. Tall enough to tower over most of us Middle Easterners, he can get the good shot that his director needs!
Other than his passion for optical and technological toys, he loves basketball and travels all the way to Muharraq where he can to shoot a few hoops with his expanding network of friends. I hope that those very friends can knock some sense into his head so that he doesn’t take too many chances while filming; like climbing the tallest container crane in Mina Salman in a howling gale just to get yet another shot of the yard. Or climb the highest point on a ship berthed in Jabal Ali past midnight to get the crane hooking into containers; or balancing the camera in a trotting and rickety horse-drawn carriage while shooting the great pyramids of Egypt; or dodging speeding cars on the King Faisal Highway in rush hour to get that perfect shot of the BMA building.
Telling him to be careful doesn’t normally works.
Telling him to get the shot most certainly does.
In short, he’s bloody crazy!
But he gets the shots!
Especially if you fill him with rice and a certain amber beverage
This is his mug shot with two of his favourite toys:

Since he got those two babies, he’s had many more toys. Check out our Flickr albums to spot them.
